Description
London experimentalists Oreglo - Drums (Nico), Tuba (Teigan Hastings) and electric guitar (Linus Barry) - make their jazz ensemble debut with five-track treat 'The Whirr', which works just as well as an EP as it would a horror film title, nominally emphasising a true constancy at the heart of the groove. 'Boste' is the last track on the record but really marks itself out as its core pacemaker, its grave grooves tempered by an exaggerated long-tail clap samples on every fourth beat, emphasising an emancipatory e-jazz edge best befitting of a rising, spunky trio such as them.
