Description
Alive by American jazz guitarist Grant Green was recorded at the Cliche Lounge in Newark in 1970. Green assembled a crack team of players to get his sound across including jazz drummer Idris Muhammad. Among the tracks are the Kool & The Gang song Let The Music Take Your Mind, Herbie Hancock’s Maiden Voyage, Sookie Sookie, a track co-written by the legendary Steve Cropper and Down Here On The Ground which was co-written by king of 70s movie soundtrack, Lalo Schifrin. Features liner notes by the beautifully named Stanley Dance.
