Skyrager presents Coconut Dreams Volume One, a carefully sequenced collection of overlooked folk, soul, ambient, prog and AOR recordings. Curated by Danny McLewin, also known for Psychemagik and his Traces of Illusion compilation, it follows a path from soft-focus serenity to more urgent, expansive moments.
Opening with The Carmets' 'Silver Moon Beach', the selection moves through the sunlit soul of Angela Bofill, koto-led prog from Keiko Nosaka & George Murasaki, Fred Bryan & The All Stars' protest song 'Apartheid Must Go' and the cosmic soft rock of Joseph. Elsewhere, O'Donel Levy, Pat Wells, Yasuko Agawa and more contribute to a set designed for quiet listening, daydreaming and getting pleasantly lost.
Coconut Dreams Volume One is an invitation to leave the familiar behind and settle into a world of gentle melodies, faraway rhythms and carefully chosen musical discoveries.
