Bringing together an international cast of collaborators including Braxton Cook, Rasmus Sørensen, Mauricesax, Jonas Cook, Alex Bone and more, the record moves fluidly between modern jazz, nu-jazz and groove-driven production. Grounded in 9ICK’s background as a pianist and shaped by a forward-thinking approach to sound, SMIL unfolds as a joyful, borderless conversation told through improvisation, collaboration and rhythm.
