Description
Having played with Thelonius Monk, John Coltrane and Dizzy Gillespie, it was while touring Europe with Quincy Jones that Sahib Shihab decided to leave behind US racial politics and settle in Scandinavia, writing scores for film, TV and theatre. This recording with the Danish Radio Jazz group, a rare and superb example of 60s large-group jazz, has been remastered from the original stereo master tapes.
