What that means in practise is Prommer deftly blending the various musical strands associated with his career - organic hand percussion rhythms, moody deep house and tech-house textures, jazz instrumentation and nods to the hip-hop rooted end of the downtempo spectrum - into a series of distinctive, drum-rich workouts. Highlights are plentiful, from the late-night house tension of 'Black Mamba' and the spaced-out downtempo soul of 'I Am Falling (Falling Deep)', to the string-laden Balearic warmth of 'Night Society' and the rushing St Germain style brilliance of 'Tryin' Times'.
