Assembled by the visionary British jazz trumpeter Ian Carr, Nucleus was one of the most quietly influential British ensembles ever. Released in 1973, ‘Labyrinth’ is a fusion of jazz with groove-laden funk and psych rock, years ahead of its time and subsequently a favourite of the great Madlib. A treasure trove for samplers, it's now reissued by Be With Records.
