George Evelyn aka Nightmares On Wax once hosted London super-spreader of the dub disease, Adrian Sherwood, architecting a joint LP of earthshaking capacity - and now it's back for round two. In A Space Outta Dub reimagines material from the 2006 album In A Space Outta Sound, landing two decades after the original and marking a playful mid-career detour for Evelyn. A dream come true for (an artist otherwise plagued by) Nightmares, Evelyn grew up in Leeds and was trained in the kind of On-U punk-dub hands Sherwood dealt in London: the hard work pays off enough at least to earn the dream recurring status, as original multitracks are handed to Sherwood and pulled through his various echo cavities, bass fatteners and alterators, 'You Wish' becoming 'You Bliss', 'Flip Ya Lid' mutating into 'Flippin' Eck'. Contributions from Doug Wimbish on bass and Prisoner on drums add fresh tonnage.
