The Great Kai & J.J.

The Great Kai & J. J., an album recorded and released in 1960 by the American jazz trombonists Kai Winding and J. J. Johnson, had the auspicious honour of being the first ever release on the great American jazz label Impulse!. Featuring drummers Roy Haynes and Art Taylor plus bassist Paul Chambers and pianist Bill Evans, it’s a lively collection of standards and originals performed by an all-star cast.
