These early recordings catch her as she settles into that power, letting each line tilt from restraint into something fuller, creating a tension the band works hard to hold. 'Anything To Say You're Mine' lays out that mixture of control and sudden lift. 'My Dearest Darling' turns the band into a soft pulse beneath her lines, while 'A Sunday Kind Of Love' stretches into a slower, more spacious mood. The second side lands its heaviest blows through 'I Just Want To Make Love To You', 'At Last' and 'Stormy Weather', each revealing how far she could bend a melody without losing its centre.
